Power of the Girl

Ironically, they said, “Act like a girl,”

And with grace, I lifted my head high,

Walking, then running with dreams taking flight,

Unfurling my wings, guided by the strength inside.

Like a girl, they thought it meant fragility, a delicate way,

But I redefined it, breaking barriers each day.

For to act like a girl is to stand in the storm,

Facing the chaos, yet staying warm.

Yes, I am the powerful girl—

Strong enough to shape the world,

To nurture legends yet to be told,

A loving force behind heroes bold.

Like a girl, I’m the quiet resilience in the face of fear,

The roaring voice when injustice appears.

I build bridges where others see walls,

And dance through life’s endless calls.

A being of power, gentle yet sure,

Like a girl, now step aside, and watch me soar.

I’ll keep rising, just like the girl I am—

With a fire within that nothing can dam.

Like a girl, here’s to the fierce and kind,

With hearts unyielding and brilliant minds.

Act like a girl? Oh, I’ll do just that—

And I’ll conquer mountains, no matter the path.
